If you want to align your tripod head precisely without spending a lot of time fiddling with the tripod itself, this Berlebach leveling unit is a pretty practical solution. The bowl measures 100 mm, sits firmly in the matching mount and can be finely adjusted via the star grip.
Clean leveling, secure locking, anti-rotation included
The integrated locking screws are not just “also there”, they perform a clear task: they act as an anti-rotation device for mounted tripod heads. Especially if you have a head mounted that tends to rotate slightly while working, this helps noticeably.
1/4" UNC standard thread, 3/8" usable with adapter
Mounting is done via a 1/4" screw in UNC standard, which is exactly the common size for smaller tripod heads. If you want to use a head with a 3/8" mounting hole, that is also possible, but only with an optional adapter from 1/4" internal thread to 3/8" external thread. The adapter is not included in the scope of delivery; to be fair, you should know this beforehand, otherwise you’ll be surprised when you unpack it.
Compatible only with 100 mm video adapter bowl, weight 310 g
The requirement is important: you need a 100 mm video adapter bowl so that the leveling unit sits correctly. At 310 g, the whole thing remains pleasantly portable.
