We’re talking about a leveling bowl with a diameter of 100 mm, designed for a 100 mm video adapter bowl as a prerequisite. If that fits your setup, the leveling unit sits exactly where it belongs, and you level precisely and in a controlled way instead of roughly via the tripod legs.
Mounting is done via a 3/8" UNC screw. That’s the common standard that most tripod heads expect, so it’s exactly the thread you constantly deal with in practice. The star grip makes tightening and loosening pleasantly secure, even when you’re in a hurry or your fingers are cold.
