Benefits when looking through the viewfinder
HoodEye™ effectively prevents stray light from entering when looking through the viewfinder.
This gives you a more brilliant and higher-contrast viewfinder image, making manual focusing and selecting the image section easier!
Mounting and material
Mounting is quick and easy by sliding it onto the clamping profile, with a special self-locking quick-release mechanism guaranteeing a firm and secure hold of the eyecup on your camera. The model for Nikon round viewfinders is screwed on. Depending on the model, the quick-release clamp or screw thread and the inner ring of the viewfinder are made of metal or plastic. The actual cup is made of rubber.
Right or left eye use
The HoodEYE eyecup, with its rotatable rubber cup, is suitable for use with either the right or left eye.
Use with Softblimp
Due to the large-area cup, the Hoodeye viewfinder attachment is also ideal for use with a Softblimp, as the camera is held in position by the eyecup and placing the viewfinder around the eye is made easier even with the blimp attached.
