Leofoto Mr.Y Ly-224C + LH-25R Y Blue

The tripods from the Mr.Y series from Leofoto are ideal for travel and for indoor photography, for example at events or in museums, as well as in urban areas in general. They are particularly light and have a very short transport length. 

The special highlight is the Y-shaped center column. This means that the diameter of the tripod head can be significantly smaller (see illustration). 

The operation is very simple and intuitive: the legs can be extended using rubberized twist locks. The center column is held in place by an ergonomic clamping lever. The height of the camera can be adjusted by adjusting the center column. 

The spread angle of the tripod legs can be adjusted to four levels. The highest stability is achieved at 42°. For special perspectives, the angle can be increased up to 82°. The short center column then allows working close to the ground. 

Short center column? Yes! You can replace the long center column with a much shorter one, which is included. This can be done without any tools. The advantage, in addition to the worm's eye view already mentioned, is the increase in stability. 

The long center column can also be mounted upside down for unusual shooting situations. 

The LH-25/R ball head is one of the lightest and smallest from Leofoto. This contributes significantly to easy transportability. The head weighs only 0.25kg but supports up to 6kg!

 Its height is 75 mm and the base diameter is 36 mm. It is mounted on the tripod using a 3/8" thread. 

With a large, ergonomic clamping lever, the ball head can be released to allow the camera to move freely. The clamp itself can also be rotated through 360°. A panoramic shot can be taken with the ball head locked. 

The ball head is equipped with a clamp according to the Arca-Swiss standard and a quick-release plate. 

The legs of this tripod are wrapped from 10 layers of carbon fiber (carbon). The special diamond-shaped winding of these layers ensures additional stability and vibration damping with extremely low weight! 

For the metal parts, Leofoto uses the high-quality 6061-T6 aluminum alloy with magnesium and silicon as alloy components. This corrosion-resistant material features high strength and good toughness. The yield strength is comparable to structural steel. All parts are milled from solid material on state-of-the-art CNC machines and are therefore significantly more stable than cast parts. Here too, Leofoto makes no compromises! 

The tripod feet have a stainless steel core. The outer rubber is shaped so that there is a flat contact surface for every spread angle. 

The transport bag is water-repellent and has padded handles. The handles are attached so that the center of gravity is under the handles. The transport bag is equipped with an adjustable shoulder strap.
