Conventional plate with two 1/4"-20 slots

The BP-CS has an anti-twist flange, or ridge that snugs up against your camera body to prevent twisting and provide a secure metal-to-metal grip. Installation: The plate may be installed with the flange against the front or back of the camera. Determine which side of the camera provides the most optimum fit. Align the flange against the edge of the camera that is flatter and allows the most contact.

Determine which of the two mounting slots provides the best clearance for the battery door or other ports.

Installation of this specific plate

Use the hex key to loosely install the screw from beneath the plate into the threaded end of the slot and into the camera's tripod socket. Adjust the plate so the flange is snug against the edge of the camera, then fully tighten the screw.

The safety stop screw will act as a stopper to prevent the plate from slipping through the clamp if the clamp is not fully closed. This prevents free fall when the tripod head is flopped into the drop notch for vertical format.

Using the hex key, install the screw into the right side of the plate, the side that will be on top when the camera is flopped vertically in the drop notch.

The BP-CS is equipped with two strap bosses to attach your camera hand strap or neck strap.
