Berlebach Quick Release Clamp 150 without Quick Release Plate

If you want to change your setup on the tripod quickly but don’t feel like putting up with wobbly compromises, the Berlebach Quick Release Clamp 150 is a pleasantly solid solution. It is delivered without a quick release plate, so you remain free to choose which plate you use or may already have in use. The base is compactly built and sits flat.

The clamping mechanism works as a screw clamp – classic, controlled, with well‑metered force. Especially with heavier photo or video equipment, that’s often exactly what you want.

Safety mechanism that really makes sense in everyday use

The quick release base contains an integrated safety system that prevents the quick release plate from accidentally slipping out of the open clamp. Important: this safety feature only works with Berlebach quick release plates. It is released via the red button on the side of the base, positioned where you can still find it even with cold fingers. Such a small thing, but out in the field it makes the difference.

For precise leveling, two integrated spirit levels are on board. That’s not just nice to have; it also saves you a few corrections when changing locations quickly, until everything is really level.

Arca-style compatible and open to 38 mm dovetail plates

According to the manufacturer, the clamp accepts Arca-style compatible 38 mm dovetail plates. It is also suitable for dovetail plates from various manufacturers, for example 38 mm Dovetail, Novoflex, Burzynski, ReallyRightStuff, Kirk or Wimberley. So if you are already using an ARCA setup, you don’t suddenly have to buy everything new; it stays pleasantly flexible. To use plates from other manufacturers, you only need to remove the safety pin of the clamp.

Mounting on the tripod, threads, dimensions and fixation

When it comes to threads, Berlebach is refreshingly practical: you get one continuous 3/8″ thread as well as two continuous 1/4" threads. The thread spacing is 17.5 mm in each case, which makes mounting on many tripod platforms easier. In addition, two 1/4" locking screws are included so you can securely fix the quick release clamp to the tripod without anything twisting later on.

The dimensions are 105 x 60 x 18 mm, the weight is 180 g.
