LensCoat TravelCoat for Nikon 500mm VR FL with lens hood - Realtree AP Snow

Precisely fitting transport protection for 500mm super-telephoto

This TravelCoat is a precisely fitting protective solution for large 500mm telephoto lenses and is suitable for the Nikon 500mm f/4E FL ED VR AF-S NIKKOR as well as the Sigma 500mm F4 DG OS HSM | Sports. Especially with high-end super-telephoto lenses, a snug protective cover for transport and storage is particularly useful, as it keeps the body, finish, and sensitive exterior surfaces much better protected from abrasion and light impacts.

The cover is designed for compact, practical handling and protects your lens without taking up unnecessary space in your luggage.

Robust neoprene with simple closure

Made from 3 mm thick neoprene with hook-and-loop fastener.

The material has a shock-absorbing effect and reliably protects your lens from scratches, friction, and typical contact marks in a suitcase, camera backpack, or vehicle. Thanks to the hook-and-loop fastener, the cover can be put on and taken off quickly, which is especially practical if you transport your super-telephoto frequently.

Usefully complement full front protection

For complete protection of your lens, you additionally need a suitable lens cap (LensCoat Hoodie).

Since no specifically referenced Hoodie size is provided for this variant, a deliberately general wording is used here. This allows you to complement the transport protection at the front in a suitable way and secure your setup even more completely.

Designed for use with lens hood attached

  • For lens with attached lens hood
  • With opening for lens foot
  • Can be used together with LensCoat lens cover.

The opening for the lens foot ensures that the cover adapts sensibly to the shape of a professional super-telephoto lens. At the same time, the solution remains transport-friendly because the lens hood can stay mounted.

Realtree AP Snow for wintry and bright environments

The Realtree AP Snow color variant is particularly interesting for use in wintry landscapes, in snow, hoarfrost, or very bright, open natural settings. The light camouflage pattern helps to visually break up the distinctive contours of a large telephoto lens so that your setup appears significantly less conspicuous in such environments.

Especially in snowy areas, at bright forest edges, or for wildlife photography in winter, this can be a practical advantage. At the same time, your lens remains well protected during transport and visually matches the surroundings.

More order in your luggage and better value retention

A TravelCoat is not only a protective layer but also a practical aid for everyday use with a large telephoto lens. Your equipment can be stored in a more organized way, while the exterior surfaces come into less direct contact with zippers, bag walls, or other accessories.

This helps to reduce visible signs of use and to maintain the well-kept condition of your lens for longer. Especially with high-end super-telephoto lenses, this is a real advantage for long-term use and value retention.
