Functionality is preserved in use
The segmented design to maintain full functionality of the lens ensures that the fit is precisely matched to this construction and does not fit any other lens models. This keeps operation pleasantly direct, as controls remain accessible. Viewing windows over the autofocus and image stabilizer switches as well as over the distance scale help you keep an eye on important settings at a glance.
Well thought out for changing conditions
The neoprene provides an insulating function, making handling noticeably more comfortable in cold conditions. In addition, the opening above the red dot makes it easier to quickly mount the lens on the camera. An additional segment is provided for the extended zoom range, which can be quickly attached with a Velcro fastener and just as easily removed. Two further elements support use on the camera side when using a tripod collar.
