The Leofoto AM-1 Magic Arm is one of those parts you mount once and then use all the time. It helps you securely attach accessories such as a smartphone, flash, or microphone to a tripod or other objects, provided there is a 1/4" UNC thread available. Whether in a small studio setup or on the go on a rig, the arm sits where you need it, without much fuss.
Two joints, flexibly adjustable
What’s especially practical here: the AM-1 can be angled at two points. This lets you position light, sound, or a small display quite precisely, even when space is tight or the tripod already seems fully occupied. And yes, you’ll often readjust it quickly because the perspective changes – that just happens. That’s exactly what it’s made for.
1/4" UNC external thread at the top and bottom
There is a 1/4" UNC external thread at both the top and bottom as a connector. This means the Magic Arm fits many common photo and video components that use exactly this standard thread. You screw it on, screw your accessory on top, and you’re done. No adapter circus, no special solution – just everyday compatibility.
Loadable up to 1.5 kg, compact and pleasantly lightweight
Despite its compact design, the Leofoto AM-1 supports up to 1.5 kg. For typical accessories, this is exactly the right order of magnitude in practice. With a length of 11.2 cm it remains handy, its width is 3.7 cm, and its height is 2.0 cm. And at 53 g you’ll hardly notice it in your backpack, which, honestly, is often the reason why it ends up coming along every time.
