Leofoto AM-2 Magic Arm: compact articulated arm for accessories on your tripod

The Leofoto AM-2 Magic Arm is a small but truly useful accessory holder when you want to mount a smartphone, flash, microphone or other equipment neatly on your tripod or another mount. The important thing: it fits anywhere there is a 1/4" UNC thread. Whether on a tripod leg, on a clamp, on a rig, on a rail – it simply gives you an additional mounting position without having to completely rebuild your setup.

Two joints so the angle finally fits

The AM-2 can be angled at two points. That sounds simple, but in practice it’s exactly what you need when you don’t want the accessory to sit “somewhere”, but precisely where it belongs. For example, you position a microphone closer to the sound source, rotate a small LED light slightly to the side, or place the smartphone so that the framing is just right. And yes, sometimes it’s just a few degrees that make the difference.

1/4" UNC male thread at the top and bottom, quick to mount

There is a 1/4" UNC male thread at both the top and the bottom. This lets you screw the support arm directly into suitable ports and just as easily attach accessories with a 1/4" mount. No guesswork, no special adapter, just the common standard thread you already know from photo and video.

Lightweight, stable, made of aluminum and stainless steel

With a length of 12.7 cm, the Leofoto AM-2 remains pleasantly compact, making it great for on the go and not such a bulky piece that gets caught on everything in your backpack. It weighs 86 g, which you’ll hardly notice on your setup, yet it still feels solid. That’s also due to the materials: aluminum and stainless steel, a combination that stays robust in everyday use and doesn’t complain when things have to move quickly.

The dimensions are deliberately kept slim: 2.5 cm in height and 4.1 cm in width. This means the arm doesn’t stick out unnecessarily far and can still be used sensibly in tighter spaces.

Load capacity up to 2.0 kg for typical photo and video accessories

The Leofoto AM-2 can support up to 2.0 kg. This covers many typical applications, such as a compact LED panel, a shotgun microphone in a shock mount, a small monitor, or a smartphone with a holder. It’s not intended for heavy cine accessories, but for the gear you constantly attach in everyday use, it works very well.
