Leofoto FA-03 Cold Shoe Adapter for flash, microphone and small accessories
Sometimes that one specific mount is missing on the clamp so the flash ends up dangling somewhere. The Leofoto FA-03 Cold Shoe Adapter is made exactly for that: you insert it into a clamp or onto a rig and you can neatly and directly mount a flash, a microphone or other accessories with a standard hot shoe. Straightforward, but properly made.
Made from aluminum, CNC milled and then anodized. That sounds technical, but in everyday use it’s simply pleasant, because the adapter feels solid and the surface doesn’t immediately look “worn” even after frequent repositioning.
Arca-style compatible
The clamping profile is Arca-style compatible, so the adapter fits into many common ARCA clamps and ARCA quick-release systems. Especially if you already work with ARCA, your setup remains flexible because you can quickly place the cold shoe adapter exactly where you need it, without having to improvise with special plates first.
The dimensions of the clamping profile are 38 x 38 mm, i.e. width x length. That’s compact enough for lightweight setups, but large enough to sit securely in the clamp.
Compact dimensions and low weight for your camera setup
At 11 g, the Leofoto FA-03 Cold Shoe Adapter adds hardly any weight to the camera or tripod. The height is 16 mm, which keeps it pleasantly low when you mount, for example, a small on-camera flash or a radio trigger and don’t want any additional height.
1/4 inch UNC threaded hole on the bottom for tripod, rig and clamp
On the bottom there is a 1/4" UNC threaded hole. This lets you mount the adapter in the classic way on tripod accessories, a screw on the rig or a suitable bracket. In practice this is often exactly the point that decides whether an accessory is quickly ready for use or whether you have to start tinkering again.
Aluminum, CNC milled and anodized for clean workmanship
The material is aluminum. The adapter is CNC milled and anodized, which ensures precise edges and a uniform surface. What we like about such parts is that they don’t look over the top, they just work – even if you regularly reconfigure them, throw them in your bag, take them out again, and keep going.
