Optimal for travel, indoor, and urban photography

The tripods of the Mr.Y series from Leofoto are ideal for travel and for indoor photography, for example at events or in museums, as well as generally in urban environments. They are particularly lightweight and have a very short transport length.

Y-shaped center column as a design advantage

The special highlight is the Y-shaped center column. This allows the diameter of the tripod head to be significantly smaller (see illustration).

Easy operation and height adjustment

Operation is very simple and intuitive: the legs can be extended using rubberized twist locks. The center column is held in place by an ergonomic clamping lever. By adjusting the center column, the height of the camera can be set.

Leg spread angle in four stages and low-angle perspectives

The spread angle of the tripod legs can be set in four stages. Maximum stability is achieved at 42°. For special perspectives, the angle can be increased up to 82°. The short center column then allows work close to the ground.

Short center column included and added stability

Short center column? Yes! You can replace the long center column with a much shorter one that is included in the scope of delivery. This can be done without any tools. In addition to the already mentioned frog’s-eye view, the advantage is increased stability.

Inverted mounting for special shooting situations

The long center column can also be mounted upside down for unusual shooting situations.

Lightweight ball head with high load capacity

The LH-25/R ball head is one of the lightest and smallest from Leofoto. This contributes significantly to easy transportability. The head weighs only 0.25 kg, yet supports up to 6 kg!

Dimensions and connection

Its height is 75 mm, and the base diameter is 36 mm. Mounting on the tripod is via a 3/8" thread.

Clamping lever and 360° panorama function

With a large, ergonomic clamping lever, the ball head can be released for free movement of the camera. The clamp itself can additionally be rotated 360°. This allows a panorama shot to be taken with the ball head locked.

Arca-style clamp and quick-release plate

The ball head is equipped with an Arca-style standard clamp and a quick-release plate.

Carbon legs with diamond-shaped layering

The legs of this tripod are made from 10 layers of carbon fibers (carbon). The special diamond-shaped layering of these layers provides additional stability and vibration damping with the lowest possible weight!

Aluminum alloy and CNC manufacturing

For the metal parts, Leofoto uses high-quality 6061-T6 aluminum alloy with magnesium and silicon as alloying components. This corrosion-resistant material is characterized by high strength and good toughness. Its yield strength is comparable to structural steel. All parts are milled from solid material on state-of-the-art CNC machines and are therefore significantly more stable than cast parts. Here, too, Leofoto makes no compromises!

Tripod feet with stainless-steel core and optimized contact surface

The tripod feet have a stainless-steel core. The outer rubber is shaped so that a flat contact surface is achieved for every leg spread angle.

Water-repellent carrying bag with well-thought-out ergonomics

The carrying bag is water-repellent and equipped with padded handles. The handles are positioned so that the center of gravity lies beneath them. The carrying bag is equipped with an adjustable shoulder strap.
