Compact all-in-one solution for on the go
This mini tripod and ball head combination is a small, space- and weight-saving all-in-one solution. This “spider-leg” mini tripod sets hardly any limits on freedom, flexibility and creativity.
Flexible tabletop tripod with variable height
As flexible, graceful and light as a spider – that is why the MT-04 bears the nickname SPIDER. Thanks to the 3-section tripod legs, the height of this tabletop tripod can be varied between 120mm and 370mm. Yet with a packed size of 25cm it fits into any camera bag.
Angle adjustment, mounting options and accessory threads
The legs can also be splayed out in three different angle settings. This makes it ideal as a lightweight macro tripod or for tabletop photography. Thanks to the flexibility of the legs, it can be attached to branches or poles. In the upper two tripod leg segments there are numerous 1/4" threaded holes for attaching additional accessories, e.g. lights, smartphone mounts, etc.
Load capacity of the mini tripod
Despite its low weight, it supports camera setups up to 5kg.
High-performance ball head with high precision
The LH-30 ball head has a load capacity of 15 kilograms. In this case, however, the maximum load capacity of the system consisting of mini tripod and ball head is limited to 5kg. This is achieved by the large ball diameter of 30 millimetres, which was manufactured with a tolerance of 0.01 millimetres. This allows the ball head to move even heavy masses easily and clamp securely. The ball head itself weighs only 310 grams.
Dimensions and connection
The base diameter of the ball head is 47 millimetres, and its height is 78 millimetres. It connects to the tripod via a 3/8-inch photographic thread.
Material, manufacturing and stability
For the metal parts, Leofoto uses the high-quality 6061-T6 aluminium alloy with magnesium and silicon as alloying components. This corrosion-resistant material is characterised by high strength and good toughness. The yield strength is comparable to structural steel. All parts are milled from solid material on state-of-the-art CNC machines and are therefore significantly more stable than cast parts. Here too, Leofoto makes no compromises!
