This mini tripod and ball head combination is a small, space- and weight-saving all-in-one solution. This “spider-leg” mini tripod places hardly any limits on freedom, flexibility, and creativity.
Flexible table tripod with variable height
As flexible, graceful, and light as a spider, that’s why the MT-04 bears the nickname SPIDER. Thanks to the 3-section tripod legs, this table tripod can be adjusted in height between 120 mm and 370 mm. Nevertheless, with a packed length of 25 cm it fits into any camera bag.
Angle adjustment, mounting options, and accessory threads
The legs can also be splayed in three different angle settings. This makes it ideal as a lightweight macro tripod or for tabletop photography. Thanks to the flexibility of the legs, it can be attached to branches or poles. Numerous 1/4" threaded holes are located in the upper two leg sections for attaching additional accessories such as lights, smartphone holders, etc.
Load capacity of the mini tripod
Despite its low weight, it supports camera equipment up to 5 kg.
High-performance ball head with high precision
The LH-30 ball head has a load capacity of 15 kilograms. This is achieved by the large ball diameter of 30 millimeters, which is manufactured with a tolerance of 0.01 millimeter. This allows the ball head to move even heavy loads smoothly and clamp them securely. The ball head itself weighs only 310 grams.
Dimensions and connection
The base diameter of the ball head is 47 millimeters, its height is 78 millimeters. The connection to the tripod is made via a 3/8-inch photo thread.
Material, manufacturing, and stability
For the metal parts, Leofoto uses high-quality 6061-T6 aluminum alloy with magnesium and silicon as alloying components. This corrosion-resistant material is characterized by high strength and good toughness. Its yield strength is comparable to structural steel. All parts are milled from solid material on state-of-the-art CNC machines, making them significantly more stable than cast parts. Here too, Leofoto makes no compromises!
