Leofoto PC-190 iPad holder

Leofoto PC-190 iPad holder for tripod and ball head

With the Leofoto PC-190 iPad holder you can mount your tablet neatly and securely on a tripod ball head. This is particularly practical when you don’t want to keep looking for a place to put it on set, or when the iPad is used as a monitor, control center or teleprompter. In short, it sits exactly where you need it. And it stays there.

Mounting: dovetail profile and 1/4 inch UNC thread

The underside is prepared in two ways. You get a dovetail profile and, in addition, a 1/4" UNC thread. This allows you to place the holder directly on suitable clamps depending on your setup, or mount it in the classic way with a screw. That saves fiddling around, especially when things need to move quickly, and it fits many common photo and video heads.

CNC-milled aircraft aluminum, black anodized

Leofoto keeps things pleasantly straightforward when it comes to materials. The PC-190 is CNC-milled from aircraft aluminum and black anodized. This not only feels high-quality, it is also robust in everyday use when the holder often goes into the bag, out again, and back in. The surface is unobtrusive, no shiny gimmick, more of a tool character.

Height adjustable from 113 mm to 190 mm, locking via large knurled screw

The height adjustment ranges from 113 mm to 190 mm. You set it to match the size of your tablet and lock the chosen position with a large knurled screw. This screw has a pleasant grip, even if your finger dexterity isn’t perfect. Once tightened, it holds. And yes, you’ll probably still give it a quick check, perfectly normal.

3/8 inch thread in the knurled screw for additional accessories

The knurled screw also contains a 3/8" thread for attaching additional accessories, such as an LED light. This keeps your setup compact because you don’t have to distribute accessories elsewhere on the tripod. It’s one of those small details you only miss when it’s not there.

Expandable with cold shoe adapter, more options in the rig

You can also attach an accessory adapter, i.e. a cold shoe, to the PC-190. This further expands its upgrade potential. Mic, wireless receiver, small light, whatever you want to plug in at the moment, you stay flexible without overloading the holder. Although, honestly, sometimes it does end up being a bit more accessories.

Suitable for iPad Pro, for example, load capacity up to 8 kg

The iPad holder is suitable, for example, for the iPad Pro and can carry up to 8 kg in total. That’s plenty of leeway, even if you have accessories attached to the tablet or use the whole setup in a more ambitious rig. Stability is not an empty promise here; it’s simply a clear number.
