Scaled rail for repeatable settings

The top side of the 271 mm long rail is scaled. Without units, deliberately neutral, so you don’t have to commit to a specific measurement logic. You can simply note your own reference values, for example for different lenses or recurring setups.

Safety stop screws to prevent slipping out

Two safety stop screws are integrated on the underside. These safety stop screws prevent the rail from accidentally slipping out of a matching quick-release clamp if you haven’t fully opened the clamp or push the rail a bit too far forwards or backwards.

This is an important safeguard, especially with heavy telephoto lenses, because uncontrolled slipping out of the clamp can, in the worst case, damage camera and lens. The stop screws engage in the end sections of the ARCA clamp and provide an additional safety buffer without disrupting your workflow.

Mounting options and connections

On the underside of the rail there is a 1/4" UNC photo thread. This allows you to mount the VR-150L directly on a tripod, a slider or a special bracket if required, in case you want to work without an ARCA clamp or have to use another system.
