Semi-automatic locking with additional control
Q=BASE II enables automatic locking of the quick-release plate used. An additional locking can be carried out manually.
This successful combination of automatic basic function and manual locking gives the user optimal control over securing the valuable camera.
Secure hold thanks to safety pin
In addition, a “safety pin” prevents accidental slipping out in any conceivable direction.
If the product has safety stop screws, the practical advantage becomes clear right here: they help to further prevent accidental slipping out of the quick-release coupling.
Practical details for flexible use
Furthermore, the tripod plate has an integrated spirit level and can be mounted with screws from above and through, and can therefore also be used on components with internal threads.
Arca-style compatible for versatile combinations
Optionally, profile quick-release plates from many other manufacturers (type: ARCA-UniQ/C) can also be used; however, the safety pin function is only available in conjunction with original NOVOFLEX Q=PLATEs. The coupling thus adopts the Arca-style UniQ/C standard and, as a semi-automatic system, is particularly comfortable for quick changes between camera and support.
