Concept and construction of the Q=MOUNT

The Q=MOUNT quick-release base is the manual, extremely lightweight version from the NOVOFLEX professional quick-release series.
With its round design, the Q=MOUNT combines form and function in an ideal way.

It can be mounted on all conventional tripod heads or other mounting units with 1/4" or 3/8" thread.

In contrast to the automatic Q=BASE quick-release base, the Q=MOUNT is a purely manual quick-release coupling.

Fast locking with high control

The compact and stable design combined with extremely low weight makes the coupling interesting even for demanding setups. Locking is extremely fast thanks to a double-threaded screw; lengthy turning is unnecessary, as just a small fraction of a rotation is sufficient.

For additional safety, the integrated safety pin prevents accidental slipping out of the quick-release coupling. This is a clear practical advantage, especially with valuable camera and lens combinations.

Arca-style compatible mount for many quick-release plates

Practical tip for use

TIP:

This coupling is excellent for mounting on the Arca-style P0 ball head.
For top mounting, unscrew the mounting bolt from the P0 (this requires some force, as the bolt is secured with Loctite) and screw the Novoflex coupling with inserted reduction adapter onto the 1/4″ stud of the P0.
