With the Clutch, Peak Design provides the perfect hand strap for DSLR and mirrorless cameras. Its design is inspired by high-end climbing gear and is exceptionally well thought out. The hand strap is very easy to attach and just as easy to adjust. Unlike many other hand straps that are rather bulky, the Clutch hand strap is slim and comparatively thin, without sacrificing wearing comfort or functionality. In addition, the hand strap is extremely strong, so it can easily support even a heavy camera.

Thanks to the hand strap, you have a firm grip on your camera and can hold it more steadily. This makes stable camera handling easier, which in turn enables shake-free photography and filming. The hand strap also transfers part of the camera’s weight to the back of your hand. This provides overall relief and helps prevent fatigue. In addition, it reduces the risk of the camera slipping out of your hand.

Mounting via anchor loop and camera plate

The hand strap can be attached to your camera very easily. Attach the upper end to the right strap lug and connect the lower end to the camera’s tripod socket. For the latter, you need the included camera plate. The actual hand strap is connected to the plate via a quick connector and an anchor loop. The quick connector and anchor loop are compatible with all other Peak Design products. This allows different straps and hand straps to be swapped quickly and easily.

Compatibility with strap lugs

Suitable for strap lugs with an internal width of at least 11 mm

The hand strap fits strap lugs with an internal width of at least 11 mm. But even if your camera has narrower strap lugs or even only round lugs, all is not lost. You can also attach the hand strap using a split ring.
