The external dimensions of approximately 15.4 cm width, 8.8 cm height, and 6.8 cm depth are tuned so that the L-bracket sits close to the Leica SL3 and blends harmoniously with the camera body.

The surface is Type II black anodized, which not only looks sleek and unobtrusive but also reliably protects the L-bracket from scratches, wear, and the elements. Unlike universal solutions, the BSL3-LS was not just made to “somehow” fit, but was designed specifically for the Leica SL3. The L-bracket is ARCA compatible and fits Arca-style compatible (according to the manufacturer) 38 mm quick-release clamps. These include, among others, Really Right Stuff screw clamps, Really Right Stuff lever clamps, Jobu Design clamps, and Kirk clamps. With QD strap anchor mount for quick carrying options

The BSL3-LS features an integrated QD strap mount, i.e. a QD-compatible steel socket. This allows you to snap a suitable strap with QD strap anchors in and out in an instant, without having to fiddle with the camera itself. In addition, there is an attachment point for a hand strap, in case you prefer to travel compactly and without a traditional camera strap.

Modular design for more flexibility

The BSL3-LS has a modular design. This means that the L-component can be shifted sideways to give you extra clearance for cables when you use, for example, tethering, HDMI, or microphone cables. The slot length with a maximum screw-to-screw distance of 23 mm allows you to slide the L-component out by up to 23 mm. At the same time, the SL3’s side port doors remain accessible without having to remove the L-component completely.

Full access to the battery and ports

A practical detail that helps enormously in everyday use: you can remove the camera battery without taking the plate off the body. The side port doors can also be opened without the L-component getting in the way. If you need more space for cables, simply slide the L-side out a bit. This keeps you flexible, whether you’re working in portrait orientation with a cable release or connecting video accessories.

Laser-engraved sensor center mark for precise alignment

The BSL3-LS features a laser-engraved sensor center mark. This marking helps you align the optical axis precisely, which is essential in particular for panoramic photography. This lets you rotate your SL3 cleanly around the correct axis and avoid unnecessary offsets between individual frames.

Additional mounting options for video and photo accessories

On the L-component you’ll find additional 1/4"-20 mounting sockets that are ideal for video accessories such as external microphones, small LED lights, or wireless receivers. You also have access to an ARRI 1/4" pin-lock interface to mount compatible accessories in a twist-proof way. This allows you to build a compact yet stable rig solution without immediately having to resort to a full cage.

Integrated hex key always on board
