The plate then receives a type II black anodized finish that not only looks discreet but also protects against wear and corrosion.

With a weight of about 47.5 g, the plate remains pleasantly light without feeling fragile. The dimensions of around 9.1 cm in length, 3.8 cm in width and 1.32 cm in height make it universally usable without being unnecessarily bulky. Especially on long telephoto lenses or heavy zooms, the interplay of stability and low weight is crucial so that handling does not become a test of patience.

Universally usable and equipped with anti-twist protection

The L85 is deliberately designed as a universal lens plate. It is suitable for a wide range of lens feet and lens collars, as long as they have a 1/4"-20 thread. In addition, the plate is equipped with the Really Right Stuff R-Lock safety mechanism.
