You don’t want to have to laboriously unscrew and realign tripod heads or other accessories every time. That’s exactly what the Really Right Stuff TH-DVTL-55 B is for. With this adapter plate, you equip the base of your tripod head with a 38 mm dovetail quick-release profile, so switching between clamps and setups becomes noticeably faster. Not spectacular in a loud way, but very practical in everyday use.
The plate is designed for a base diameter of up to 70 mm. That may sound like a detail, but it’s crucial because it determines whether your head sits flush and can be mounted correctly.
38 mm dovetail profile for quick conversion
The 38 mm dovetail profile is located on the underside, suitable for corresponding 38 mm clamps. This lets you integrate your tripod head into a quick-release system at the base without tinkering with the actual function of the head. You mount, clamp, done. And if you want to convert it back later, it’s just as easy in reverse.
