Wimberley AK-100 Sidekick adapter
Compatibility and Purpose
The Wimberley AK-100 Sidekick Adapter is used to mount the Wimberley Sidekick (manufactured before 05/2018) on ball heads whose quick-release clamp lever mechanism differs slightly in size from the standard 38 mm dovetail profile dimensions of the Sidekick connection.
Use with lever-release quick-release clamps
The adapter is particularly required for using lever-release quick-release clamps from Really Right Stuff.
Suitable for ARCA-compatible clamps
The adapter also fits all traditional ARCA-compatible clamps with a knurled knob.
Protection against unintentional release
A stop screw prevents the Sidekick from unintentionally slipping out of the coupling.
