Leofoto SO-282C Carbon Tripod (inverted)
- Carbon tripod for rifle shooters
- Low weight with high load capacity
- Inverted leg extension for high stability
The tripods of the SO series have an inverted leg extension. This means that when the twist lock is opened, the outer extension tube slides down and not the inner one. In the design, even more leg segments were deliberately omitted. This allows the tripod to be set up more quickly and intuitively and provides additional stability even under demanding conditions.
The absence of a center column also ensures high stability with compact transport dimensions. Instead, the two tripod tubes have been designed so that even a two-meter-tall shooter has a comfortable view.
The legs of this tripod are wound from 10 layers of carbon fiber (carbon). The special diamond-shaped winding of these layers sort for extra stability and vibration dampening with the lightest weight imaginable!
For the metal parts, Leofoto uses the high-quality 6061-T6 aluminum alloy with magnesium and silicon as alloying components. This corrosion-resistant material features high strength and good toughness. The yield strength is comparable to mild steel. Leofoto makes no compromises here either!
