Leofoto LB-65 leveling base: precise alignment without detours
If you want to align your camera perfectly horizontally without fiddling with the tripod legs every time, the Leofoto LB-65 leveling base is exactly the right tool. The tripod plate and base plate each come with a diameter of 65 mm; it looks compact, but stands stable and simply feels “right” in everyday use. For video, architecture, or panorama setups, such a leveling base is often the small difference between “good enough” and truly level.
3/8 inch connection, fits many tripods
The LB-65 can be used on tripods with a 3/8 inch tripod screw. The connection thread is designed as 3/8 inch 16 UNC, the common standard in photography. On the underside there is a threaded hole, 1 x 3/8 UNC photo thread, so that mounting remains straightforward and uncomplicated. Once tightened, the part sits solidly, without that annoying give you sometimes get from lighter solutions.
Adjustment range up to +/- 15 degrees, with bubble level in view
For the actual leveling you have an adjustment range of +/- 15 degrees available. In practice, that is surprisingly often enough, even when the ground is not ideal. A bubble level is integrated, 1 x bubble level, so you can quickly check the alignment, even when things need to move fast. And yes, you look at it more often than you’d think.
18 kg load capacity at only 234 g weight
With a maximum load of 18 kg, the Leofoto LB-65 is not only intended for light setups, but also for larger cameras, heavy lenses, or sturdy video heads. 6061-T6 aluminum, black anodized and robust in use
The leveling base is made of 6061-T6 aluminum, a material that has proven itself in tripod construction for years. The surface is black anodized, which not only makes it unobtrusive, but also resistant to the typical signs of outdoor use. The base diameter is 6.5 cm, which matches the 65 mm platform and ensures a coherent, stable support.
