Leofoto MC-50 multifunction clamp for camera and photo accessories
With the Leofoto MC-50 multifunction clamp you can mount a camera or accessories with a 1/4" UNC thread wherever a tripod simply doesn’t fit. Table edge, railing, fence slat, a branch in the forest – in practice this works surprisingly often. The clamp sits securely without much fuss and remains pleasantly compact; it measures about 11.2 cm in length, 6.5 cm in width and is around 7.4 cm high. At around 170 g it hardly adds any weight to your backpack, but that’s exactly what makes it so useful.
The MC-50 is designed as an accessory holder and clamping mount, so not just for a camera. You can just as easily attach a mini ball head, a small LED light or other photo equipment, as long as it has a 1/4" UNC mount. And yes, that’s the classic tripod thread you constantly find on accessories.
Clamp quickly, keep it clean: 1.8 to 5.5 cm clamping range
The clamping range is 1.8 to 5.5 cm, allowing the Leofoto MC-50 to cover many typical situations, from thinner boards to sturdier railings. The jaws are fitted with rubber, which does two things at once: more grip and less risk of scratching the surface. Inside, the clamp uses a solid combination of aluminum and stainless steel; it doesn’t feel like a toy, but like a tool you actually want to use.
1/4" UNC platform with anti-twist protection for stable mounting
On top there is a small platform with a 1/4" UNC threaded bolt and anti-twist protection. That sounds dry, but it makes a real difference because mounted accessories don’t turn as easily when you align or tighten them. For many setups this is exactly the point where a clamp either gets annoying or doesn’t. Here, it works.
There is also a 1/4" UNC internal thread as a tripod mount, which gives you a bit more flexibility when combining it with additional accessories. You can tell that the MC-50 is intended as a multifunction clamp, not a single-purpose part.
