Leofoto NP 65 Universal Quick-Release Camera Plate with QD Mount
The Leofoto NP 65 is a universal quick-release plate that you can easily mount under your camera. This is done in the classic way via the UNC 1/4 inch thread, so no special adapter or DIY solution is needed. With a width of 6.5 cm, a depth of 3.8 cm and a height of only 1.25 cm, it remains pleasantly flat, and at 48 g it is hardly noticeable in your bag.
The plate is made of 6061 T6 aluminum and black anodized. That sounds like a data sheet, yes, but in practice it means: robust, cleanly manufactured, resistant in everyday use.
ARCA compatible and designed for 38 mm quick-release clamps
If you use a setup with ARCA compatible components, the NP 65 fits, according to the manufacturer, into 38 mm Arca-style compatible quick-release clamps. This allows you to quickly release the camera from the tripod head and lock it back in place without having to screw it on again each time. Especially when you are on the go, you quickly notice how much calmer working becomes.
QD compatible strap mount plus additional strap eyelet
Practically implemented: The NP 65 has a QD socket, i.e. a QD compatible strap mount directly in the plate. This allows you to attach a carrying strap directly to the quick-release plate instead of to the camera itself. Compatible straps are the Leofoto straps of the SP series as well as many other carrying straps with QD strap anchors.

And if you prefer to work with a wrist strap or safety tether: there is also a mounting opening on the side as a strap eyelet. A wristband or a safety strap fits through it easily, depending on how you want to secure your camera.
Twist protection through rubberized surface and stop
The top side is equipped with a gray, non-slip rubber pad. This noticeably helps against twisting, especially with smaller bodies or when you carry the camera on the strap and it would otherwise tend to loosen slightly. In addition, there is an anti-twist stop so that the plate sits firmly under the camera and does not have to be readjusted all the time. Not spectacular, but it is precisely these small details that make it pleasant in the end.
2 safety stop screws to prevent accidental slipping out
On the underside there are 2 safety stop screws. These prevent the plate from accidentally slipping out of the quick-release clamp if it is not completely closed. Especially when things have to move quickly or you are working with gloves, this is a simple but really useful safety feature.
