Really Right Stuff BA1-LS Modular L-Bracket for Sony

The Really Right Stuff BA1-LS is a custom-made modular L-bracket for selected Sony cameras. It is suitable for the Sony Alpha 1, Sony Alpha 7R IV, Sony Alpha 9 II, Sony Alpha 7S III and Sony Alpha 7 V (ILCE-7M5). As it is not designed to be universal, it fits the camera precisely and supports you when working stably on a tripod.

Stable switching between landscape and portrait orientation

With the BA1-LS you can switch quickly and precisely between landscape and portrait orientation without having to realign the camera. The 38 mm dovetail clamping profile is Arca-style compatible and fits, among others, into suitable quick-release clamps from Wimberley, Kirk, Jobu-Design, Really Right Stuff, Benro, Berlebach and Burzynski.

BA1-LS with modular design and precise manufacturing

The vertical bracket is CNC-milled from solid 6061-T6 aluminum and optimized for stability, low weight and comfortable handling. The black anodized type II surface protects the material in everyday photographic use, while the modular construction gives you additional flexibility when using it with the camera, tripod head and quick-release system.

Well thought-out details for use in the field

The laser-engraved sensor center mark makes it easier to align the camera precisely and is essential for panoramic photography. A magnetic hex key holder ensures that the right tool is always close at hand when you are on the go. In addition, the L-bracket features a strap eyelet, a 1/4" UNC photo thread on the underside and the Really Right Stuff R-Lock safety mechanism.

QD strap mount on the Really Right Stuff BA1-LS

The BA1-LS is QD-compatible and has a QD strap mount. To use it, you need a suitable strap with QD strap anchors. This allows you to carry your camera safely and quickly detach it from the strap when needed.

Dimensions and weight

The L-bracket measures 14.3 cm in width, 7.1 cm in depth and 8.6 cm in height. When extended, it reaches a width of 16.6 cm. With a weight of 147 g, it remains pleasantly light without sacrificing the typical Really Right Stuff stability.

Tip

Like all mechanical components, QD adapters need a little maintenance from time to time so that the pins function reliably. We maintain our adapters with Ballistol or WD-40.

You can find detailed maintenance instructions here: Clean and check QD strap anchors so that Magpul, Kirk & Co. remain reliably in use.
