The Really Right Stuff BA7IV-B camera plate for Sony Alpha 7 IV is made in the USA and is exactly the kind of custom RRS camera plate you want for everyday use. Not “kind of fits”, but cleanly manufactured, with well-matched edges, sensible material thickness and a surface that still looks neat even after frequent mounting and unmounting.

It is made from 6061-T6 aluminum and Type II black anodized. At 98 g it remains pleasantly light, yet with a height of 1.9 cm it doesn’t become unnecessarily bulky. The dimensions are 12.9 cm wide and 6.7 cm deep, so large enough for stability without “overwhelming” the camera.
