The BGFX100S-B is manufactured in the USA from solid 6061-T6 aluminum, CNC-milled and then black anodized to Type II. That may sound technical at first, but in practice it means: high rigidity, very good impact resistance, and a surface that reliably resists corrosion and wear. Especially if your gear is regularly in use—studio, outdoor, travel—this robust construction really pays off.

The anodized surface not only provides the typical, subtly matte RRS look, it also protects the plate long-term against scratches and the elements. So the part remains not only functional, but also still looks, even after years, as if it had only recently come out of the box. Or at least almost.

This quick-release plate has been developed specifically for the following cameras: the FUJIFILM GFX 100S and the FUJIFILM GFX 50S II. The contour of the plate follows the underside of the camera exactly, creating a form-fitting seat that effectively prevents twisting.

The BGFX100S-B is Arca-style compatible and equipped with a 38 mm dovetail profile. This means it fits into Arca-style compatible (according to the manufacturer) 38 mm quick-release clamps and works with a wide range of common systems. If you already use an ARCA-compatible tripod head or clamp, you can use the plate directly without having to rebuild your setup.

With QD strap socket, quickly from tripod to strap

The BGFX100S-B has an integrated QD strap socket that is QD compatible. This means you can switch your camera in a flash from the tripod configuration to carry mode with a suitable strap with QD strap anchors. Plug in, click in, done. Especially for reportage, outdoor shoots or travel, this quick change is worth its weight in gold.

In addition, you have a classic strap eyelet available if you prefer to work with conventional straps or hand straps. Modular design, optionally expandable to an L-bracket

The BGFX100S-B is modular in design and can optionally be expanded into a full L-bracket with a matching L-component. If you frequently switch between landscape and portrait orientation without significantly changing the framing, this is extremely practical. Instead of tilting the camera in the head, you simply clamp it from the side—more stable, faster, more repeatable.

This way you can first use the plate as a flat base and later, if your workflow changes or you work more in the studio or in architecture, upgrade with the L-component. This makes the BGFX100S-B a long-term solution that adapts to your requirements instead of forcing you in one direction.

Thought-out details: R-Lock, sensor center mark and integrated hex key

On the top you’ll find a laser-engraved sensor center mark. This marking helps you align the optical axis of the camera precisely, which is almost indispensable for precise panoramic photography. This allows you to determine pivot points more accurately and plan overlaps cleanly, without having to guess every time where the center of the sensor actually is.

Practical in everyday use: an integrated hex key is stored directly in the plate. So you don’t constantly have to search for the right tool when you want to mount, tighten or adjust the plate.
