Flexshooter Pro Lever Black Edition, versatile multi-tripod head

Returned item with minor signs of use on the base, see image!

The Flexshooter Pro Lever Black Edition is a universal ball head and telephoto head with an innovative ball-in-ball design, polymer spring compensation and a convenient lever clamp. This offer is for a returned item in black anodized finish.

Thanks to the two combined balls, you can use the Flexshooter Pro either as a classic ball head or as a levelable 2-way telephoto head. This makes it particularly suitable for heavy camera and telephoto lens combinations where precise, controlled movement is crucial.

Precise alignment without a separate leveling system

The outer ball is used for precise leveling of the tripod head. An integrated bubble level helps you to align the base accurately. The outer ball is then locked while you can pan and tilt in a controlled manner with the inner ball.

Since the inner ball does not tilt sideways, the camera or lens combination reliably remains in the intended axis of movement. Your tripod therefore does not require a separate leveling device. For panoramic shots, there is also a 360° rotatable panning axis. This makes the head suitable for panoramic photography.

Polymer spring compensation for heavy telephoto lenses

An integrated polymer spring mechanism compensates for the forward and backward tilt of the inner ball. This makes it easier for you to control heavy telephoto lenses and reduces the risk of the equipment suddenly tipping.

The recommended working range is with a load of approximately 3.5 to 10 kg. The maximum static load is 45 kg. This makes the Flexshooter Pro Lever suitable, among other things, for DSLR and mirrorless cameras, medium format systems and large telephoto lenses from Canon, Nikon, Sony, Sigma and Olympus or OM SYSTEM.

Lever clamp with bidirectional mount

The bidirectional 38 mm dovetail cross clamp allows you to mount camera plates, lens plates and replacement lens feet quickly and flexibly. The lever clamp can be opened and closed comfortably, making it easier to change or rebalance your equipment.

According to the manufacturer, the mount can be used with Flexshooter, Markins and Arca-style compatible 38 mm dovetail profiles. The clamped profile should be at least 55 mm long. Safety stop screws on the underside of the plate are recommended, as they can prevent accidental slipping out of the opened quick-release clamp.

Stable design for demanding photographic use

The outer ball is mounted in a plastic insert. This allows you to set the position precisely without the tripod head sagging unnecessarily after locking. Despite its high load capacity, the design remains particularly low with a height of around 9.4 cm.

The tripod head is made of aluminum and black anodized, has a 66 mm outer ball, a base diameter of 6.3 cm and weighs about 0.737 kg. The inner ball offers a tilt range of approximately -33° to +33°. The outer ball can be tilted between about -90° and +55°. Both balls and the panning axis allow 360° rotational movements.

For telephoto, nature and landscape photography

The Flexshooter Pro Lever plays to its strengths particularly in telephoto, hide and wildlife photography. You can also use it for landscape, travel, reportage, wedding, architectural, studio and macro photography, as well as for low-angle work.

With cameras using heavy wide-angle lenses, a nodal rail can help to balance the system better. It should be mounted so that it does not protrude unnecessarily far forward beyond the lens.

Mounting and safe use

Attachment to the tripod is via a 3/8-inch UNC internal thread. The mounting thread is 8 mm deep. Therefore, do not use a screw that extends more than 8 mm into the tripod head, as an excessively long screw can damage the ball.

Tighten the tilt locking knob only as far as necessary for a secure clamp. The optimal holding force is already achieved before the knob is tightened with excessive force.

Cleaning and care of the Flexshooter Pro Lever

The inner and outer balls must not be treated with oil, grease or other lubricants. Both balls are self-lubricating. The best way to remove dirt is with clean water. Then carefully dry the surfaces with a clean microfiber cloth.
