We’re keeping it deliberately factual: you get an extendable center column that is mounted on a 3/8" UNC connection, giving you flexible height adjustment without having to rebuild your entire setup.

Mounting and connections: 3/8" UNC at the bottom, 1/4" UNC and 3/8" UNC at the top

Mounting is done via a 3/8" UNC thread, so the DC-222C sits on a matching 3/8" UNC connection. At the bottom you’ll find the 3/8" UNC threaded connection, at the top the center column works with a threaded stud in 1/4" UNC and 3/8" UNC. This is practical because, depending on the head, clamp, or accessory, you don’t have to experiment with adapters first. Sometimes you need 1/4", sometimes 3/8" – here, both are provided.

Dimensions and diameters: well balanced, not too thick, not too delicate

The base diameter is 29 mm. For connecting to the tripod, the tripod leg diameters are specified as 22 mm and 19 mm. These are concrete values that help you compare with your tripod before you order.

Extension and height: 200 to 320 mm

In practice, the usable height is what counts in the end. The height of the Leofoto DC-222C is 200 to 320 mm. This allows you to extend the center column in the range from 200 mm to 320 mm and raise your camera or head a bit higher when the framing requires it.
