The Leofoto GC-364C crank center column is designed to be mounted in place of the tripod platform with Ø 75 mm. If you want to keep your tripod flexible but still need a smoothly guided height adjustment, this module fits the bill quite well. The design is robust without looking bulky, and the mounting is intended so that you don’t have to experiment for long, but simply swap it out and keep working.
Precise height adjustment via geared crank, finely controllable
The height adjustment is operated via a geared crank, so it’s not “pull up and hope”, but controlled and repeatable. One full crank turn corresponds to 14 mm of height change. That may sound like a detail, but in practice it’s exactly what’s often missing for macro, product shots, or video setups when you only work with clamps. You turn, stop, correct, done. And yes, sometimes it’s exactly these small steps that save the framing.
CNC-milled aluminum, built for stability and cleanly finished
The center column is made from CNC-milled aircraft-grade aluminum, material: aluminum. This keeps the whole unit torsion-resistant and able to carry the weight your tripod is rated for. No “only for lightweight setups” disclaimer, but genuinely intended so you can continue to use the load capacity of your tripod system. The workmanship has a pleasantly technical feel, with no frills, which is exactly how tripod accessories should be.
