Leofoto LM-365C Camo Summit carbon tripod
Leofoto LM-365C Camo Summit carbon tripod: stable, compact, amazingly versatile
If you’re looking for a three-legged tripod that doesn’t buckle outdoors but is still pleasant to carry, the Leofoto LM-365C Camo Summit fits the bill quite well. It supports up to 25 kg, weighs only 1.97 kg itself, and with a transport length of around 50 cm (490 mm) it remains pleasantly compact in your backpack. The maximum working height is 1.54 m, and for low-angle perspectives it goes down to 8.0 cm. Yes, really that low – that’s often exactly what you need for macro and ground-level work.
The camo look is not just for show. Out in nature it’s pleasantly unobtrusive, especially when you’re shooting landscapes or wildlife with a telephoto lens and don’t want to stand out as a shiny foreign object all the time.
10-layer carbon and leg sections with 36 to 22 mm diameter
The tripod legs are made of 10-layer carbon. In practice, you notice this in the combination of rigidity, strength, and very solid vibration damping, especially at longer focal lengths. The five sections are well graduated, with diameters of 36 / 32 / 28 / 25 / 22 mm. That may sound like a string of numbers, but it’s exactly what keeps a tripod steady in real-world conditions when the wind picks up or when you’re working with telephoto lenses and every little vibration is annoying.
And because it’s a Summit tripod, the platform remains nicely solid. No wobbly feeling, even when you build a slightly heavier setup.
Detachable tripod plate with bubble level and 75 mm bowl mount
On top sits a detachable tripod plate with an integrated bubble level. This helps with quick leveling so you don’t have to keep correcting by feel. The bowl mount is designed for 75 mm, and a 75 mm half ball is included right in the box. This lets you work very flexibly, for example with 75 mm leveling bowls or tripod heads that come with an integrated 75 mm bowl.
Nicely solved in practice: the tripod plate can be easily swapped for the included video adapter bowl. This way you can switch between photo and video setups without resorting to makeshift solutions.
Optional add-ons: center column, leveling insert, and accessories at the tripod shoulder
A center column can be added as an option. So you’re not locked in: maximum stability without a column, or a bit more height and comfort when needed. A leveling insert can also be added later if you want to optimize your setup even more for fast leveling.
On the tripod shoulder there is a 3/8 UNC thread where you can mount optional accessories such as an arm, a small bracket, or whatever you like to have within easy reach in the studio or outdoors. It’s one of those details you only miss when it’s not there.
Areas of use: from macro to studio, without twisting yourself into knots
We recommend the Leofoto LM-365C Camo Summit carbon tripod for landscape photography, telephoto work, low-angle shooting, and macro photography. It’s just as suitable if you do architectural photography and need clean lines, or if in everyday studio photography you simply want a stable base that doesn’t keep giving way.
The minimum height of 8.0 cm is a real advantage for subjects close to the ground, while the maximum height of 1.54 m remains comfortably usable when standing. Not excessively tall, but very well suited in practice.
Scope of delivery and features at a glance
The scope of delivery includes the detachable tripod plate and the 75 mm half ball. You also get rubber feet and stainless steel spikes so you can quickly switch depending on the surface. A multi-tool is included as well, along with a carrying bag that makes transport easier and keeps the tripod from banging into everything in the car.
