Leofoto DC364C Center column
This center column fits as a separate accessory exclusively in tripods referenced below. It has a diameter of 36 mm, weighs a light 478 g and is made of ten-layer carbon just like the tripod itself. The metal parts are CNC-machined from aircraft-grade aluminum for an exact fit. The maximum working length of the center column is 425 mm. The 3/8-inch screw on the head plate securely holds professional tripod heads.
The DC364C center column slides smoothly and easily, making it quick and easy to adjust. It even works in reverse, pointing down toward the ground. In that case, the camera can be suspended below the tripod leg head - perfect for ground-level macro shots. A sturdy, quick-action wing nut on the tripod head holds the center column securely in the desired position. In cold weather, this also works well with gloves. Another feature of this center column: a hook at the lower end is used to hold a counterweight (e.g. photo bag), which can be used to increase the stability of the tripod in special situations.
