This is exactly where the Leofoto LS-324CEX Ranger plays to its strengths. It is a three-legged carbon tripod with integrated leveling, designed for anyone who wants to get to the shot faster without constantly fiddling with leg lengths.
With a maximum working height of 1.52 m it remains pleasantly practical for everyday use, whether you’re out with a DSLR or carrying a telephoto lens. At around 1.6 kg it’s not excessively heavy, and with a transport length of about 55 cm it still fits nicely into your luggage or across the trunk of your car. And yes, low to the ground is possible too: the minimum working height is 12.5 cm, which is really practical for macro photography and generally working close to the ground, especially on forest floors or at the edge of a path.
Integrated leveling base for clean horizons
The core feature is the integrated leveling base, which can tilt up to 15° in any direction. This lets you comfortably level your camera setup horizontally without awkwardly adjusting the tripod legs to different lengths. For video and panorama shots this is simply worth its weight in gold, because you get the horizon right quickly and don’t have to keep fine-tuning forever.
The leveling is locked via a strong locking knob that is easy to operate even with cold fingers. To mount a tripod head, the base is equipped with a 3/8 inch screw, which is exactly what is most commonly needed in practice.

It’s also a good choice for travel, because you get not only height but also flexibility. And if you like working very low, for example with macros or mushrooms in the moss, the minimum working height is a real advantage that proves useful in everyday use more often than you might think beforehand.
A scope of delivery that makes practical sense
