Scope of use and compatibility
This adapter is designed for camera straps with a corresponding attachment option (e.g. carabiner strap from BlackRapid or similar) so that they can be attached to camera or lens plates with a QD mount.
System advantages and use on a tripod
The Magpul QD system is safe and has proven itself over many years of use in other fields as well. In combination with the quick-release plates, completely new application possibilities arise. The QD mount is designed so that it fits flush into the quick-release plates with QD mount. This enables quick attachment and removal of the camera strap and thus an optimal switch to the tripod.
Locking and operation
The adapter is secured via the release push button – once the snap mechanism has engaged, it can only be released again by pressing the release button.
Note on the use of QD strap mounts
This product has QD strap mounts; to use them, a strap with QD strap anchors is required: Strap with QD strap anchors.

Tip: Like all mechanical components, the Magpul adapter also needs occasional care so that the pins function reliably. We maintain our adapters with Ballistol or WD-40.
