The MS4 Dual QD Sling Gen.2 is a camera strap for everyone who doesn’t just want to carry their camera “somehow”, but in a controlled and quick way. The QD system sits securely, feels pleasantly unobtrusive, and in black it visually matches almost any setup anyway. And yes, you quickly notice: this is a strap that relies on reliable mechanics, not gimmicks.
Secure quick release with QD system
The QD quick-release connector is designed to lock flush into quick-release plates with a QD socket. That’s exactly the point: you can attach the strap in seconds and remove it just as quickly when you want to switch to a tripod. The adapter locks via a release push button. As long as the snap mechanism is engaged, everything stays where it belongs and only releases when you deliberately press the button.
Important, because this is often overlooked: the quick-release works only with compatible plates from RRS, Kirk, ProMediaGear and Leofoto, each with a QD socket. Without this matching QD socket it won’t work; the connector is strict about that.
Durable nylon with comfortable feel
There is no debate about the material: the strap is made of hard-wearing nylon, 1.25 inches wide. It remains comfortable even with a heavier setup, without feeling like a thin cord. At the same time, it stays flexible enough so it doesn’t constantly “jam” when walking or quickly lifting the camera.
And because this matters to many: 100% made in USA. Not as a slogan, but as a clear indication of origin.
More options thanks to solid attachment
The attachment loop is made of steel and coated with Melonite. This is not only robust, but also pleasant in everyday use because the surface is resistant. The loop also allows attachment at two points, for example to the camera plate and additionally to the replacement foot. This gives you more options, depending on whether you prefer to carry “sling-style” or distribute the load a bit differently.
Proven solution for quick tripod changes
The Magpul QD system is considered safe and has proven itself over many years in other fields of use. In combination with quick-release plates with QD socket, it practically creates new possibilities, because you no longer have to laboriously thread or unscrew the strap. Click in, work, release, onto the tripod. That’s how simple it should be - and here, it is.

Like all mechanical components, QD adapters need occasional maintenance so that the pins continue to work reliably. We maintain our adapters with Ballistol or WD-40.
