Pro fit for mirrorless/DSLR cameras – Designed for mid-range to professional camera equipment such as mirrorless or DSLR bodies with grip. The generous internal length of 40 cm (15.8 inches) allows you to carry longer telephoto lenses and other items that require more length. The Large Core Unit is perfect for people who need to pack and protect a lot of gear.
Direct side access
Fast side camera access – With integrated side access. With our new design you have full access to both the back and the side at the same time. The side flap connects seamlessly with the side flap of an Explore or Action X backpack.
Flexible combination by stacking
Modular stacking – The Large DSLR Core Unit has slightly more volume than a Medium and Small DSLR Core Unit combined. In a large backpack such as the Action X70, the user has the option of stacking a Small DSLR Core Unit on top of the Large to gain additional gear capacity.
Protective cover: store dust-free or use as a packing cube
Lightweight, water-repellent and versatile cover – The included cover primarily serves as a storage and dust cover for the padded Core Units, ideal when your gear is at home and not in use. It keeps the Core Unit sealed and dust-free. Its secondary function is use as a packing cube. The user can fill it with clothing or other common items and pack it into their backpack or roller case.
Protection through EVA, dividers and internal frame
EVA protective shell, dividers and frame – Walls and dividers are made of EVA, which provides significantly better protection than cheaper PE foams used in most camera bags. With EVA we have better control over the density and quality of the materials used to protect your equipment. The Core Unit also features an internal frame that ensures the walls do not collapse under the weight of the gear above. It also provides optimal weight distribution for your camera equipment and prevents the interior from sagging. Thanks to the EVA and the frame, our walls can be thinner and take up less internal volume while still providing excellent protection.
