You can have the best glass in the world, but if the lens strap digs in, slips, or is constantly in the way, photography is only half as much fun. A good carrying strap for the lens might sound like a minor detail at first, but in practice it’s one of those typical must-haves that you only miss when it’s too late. For example, when the lens suddenly swings dangerously toward the ground during a quick lens change.
Why a dedicated lens strap makes sense
Instead of some generic standard strap, here you get lens straps that are really designed for continuous use, meaning situations where you carry your equipment around with you for hours: weddings, reportage work, wildlife tours, sports events, or simply a long photo walk through the city.
