The Shimoda Action X70 HD in Army Green comes here directly together with the CORE UNIT DV XXL so you can really make use of the interior without constantly having to repack. Especially when you’re out with a camera that keeps a large super-tele mounted, this set plays to its strengths.
For cameras with mounted large super-telephoto lenses such as the Canon, Nikon or Sony 600mm 4.0, this combination is particularly suitable. Not just in theory, but very practically in everyday use, when you need to get in close quickly.
CORE UNIT DV XXL: Interior consistently designed for “large”
With the DV XXL Core Unit, the available storage space of the Action X70 backpack is fully utilized. The unit sits securely in the backpack, structures your equipment and ensures that even bulky setups don’t have to be somehow “forced in”.
Top access: The DV XXL Core Unit has its own special top access flap with zipper. This allows you to pull out a camera with attached 600mm 4.0 from the top of the X70 when needed. It’s the kind of detail you only really appreciate when things have to move quickly outside or you don’t want to open the entire back panel first.

Adjustable height: The X70 offers four height options with a vertical adjustment range of approximately 10 cm, i.e. 4 inches. This allows the same backpack to be used for shorter or longer torso lengths, regardless of whether male or female, and you get a fit that can really be adjusted individually.
16-inch laptop pocket: At the back there is a separate compartment for laptops up to 16 inches, for example a 16-inch MacBook Pro. The compartment is dimensioned so that it doesn’t just “barely” fit, but sits properly.
Expandable roll-top access: Shimoda has equipped the Action X series with a roll-top so you can adapt the volume to your gear while the backpack still stays snug and compact on your back. The roll-top can be expanded by 7 liters. On top there is also a YKK SplashGuard zipper for quick access, which noticeably saves time, especially in bad weather or when you just want to grab something quickly.
Hidden tracking device sleeve: A hidden sleeve for a personal tracking device is also integrated. This way, ideally, you always know where your backpack is. If it does get lost, a tracker can help determine its location and recover your gear. The sleeve is suitable for AirTag and Tile Pro devices.
